UK housing market flattens
Feb. 19 - Credit concerns could lead to a deeper downturn in
the British property market.
That's the opinion of Simon Rubinsohn, chief economist of
the influential Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Rubinsohn has told the Reuters Housing Summit that RICS is
sticking with its zero percent house price forecast for
2008. But he said the probability of a 1990s-style housing
crash in Britain was slim.
